Tuesday 25/4-06

I found my old favorit 50ties joint and went for a snack... Lois Dinner. It is right on powell close to Market street.
Our Show!Room is on thursday so the Bandits are getting everything ready. We want to look good when we and the rest of the class meet the public...

Hoobastank 24/4-06

After sleeping for a couple of hours in the car on the way home from Reno I got back to my apartment.
By coincidence I read in the paper that there was a free Hoobastank concert same day. First come, first serve it said so I was there 4 hours before.
Last time I saw them it was sold out so I thought it would be better to be safe than sorry.
It ended up not being necessary waiting for so long.
Doesn't matter.... I got in... It was a very intimate concert and I pre-ordered the city and got a vip pass to meet Hoobastank after the concert.
Here I am with the the lead singer Doug

MeBandit finally made it to reno 23/4-06

Finally I made it to Reno.
Emil went with me and we started out in lake tahoe. We saw rain, snow and off course Hard Rock cafe.

We drove to Reno.
Reno is called mini Las Vegas... Highly overated...
We had an awsome time walking around the different casinos looking at white trailor trash trying to win money..

We ended up at the golden phoenix..a small casino.
We only went in there to get a free t-shirt.
The police officer must have been drunk... He asked us for ID...
He said; are you 21. I answered sort of and laughed...27...
Can I see some ID please.
I showed him my drivers licence and he accepted... now knowing that I am infact 27 he turns to emil, who is 30 and asks him for ID as well. Emil had forgotten his ID in the car.
Loud and clear the ploice officer goes....
Please step over in that corner, away from the gambling machines RIGHT NOW, It is required by the law..
So he kicked us out.... We laughed all the way home, repeating and imitating that uptight cop!

Workshop +AsiaSF 22/4-06

Saturday the 22/4
Today we had our workshop.
8 very different individuals showed up.
We had an interesting day with a very fruitful dialogue on sustainability.
The participants were wearing white paint suits to hide their identity. It worked.. they didn't put each other in a box like they might have done if they knew something about each other's background

After the workshop we met the rest of the guys in our class for dinner at the coolest restaurant in SF.
AsiaSF.
We had some really interesting and gorgeous wait"resses"...

Prep week, Tuesday - Friday 18/4 - 21/4-06

Tuesday 18/4
Today we met with "tinget" (our organization group, One from each of the subgroups forms the "tinget") and talked through the showroom. Where are we right now and what needs to be done?
In the afternoon the whole class met and we filled out a gameplan for the last days to the showroom. It takes plays thursday the 27 of april... and so far we have 5 persons who have responded they are coming...haha.

After school the Bandits met to figure out the last details of our upcoming workshop this saturday the 22/4

Wednesday 19/4
The Bandits camped at union square to work outsite in the sunshine

Off course I had to follow the basket game between Bakken Bears and looser Horsens live on a glogg on danskbasket.dk .... so nice. updates every minute. And danes located in atlanta and brazil where following it as well.

Thursday 20/4
Bandits started the morning working an our project before I went to a "tinget" meeting where we were discussing the showroom- how should it look and how and what are we going to present?
It was sunny.... so I was sitting outsite without my t-shirt... The next day I was all red... ;o) but tan in my face!

Friday 21/4
Today we had such a cool class.
Lesley came from Grove to show us the art of graphical recording and making cool icons and templates for presentations. I learned so many useful things.
I spend the evening on gathering the last things for our workshop and finishing up the exact gameplan.
So now it is ready and I'm going to bed because in a couple of hours 10 very different individuals are coming to participate in our workshop. They will talk about sustainability and we will fill their most important statement for a digital presentation for our class showroom.
We have build our workshop on a tv reality concept we have invented... You won't know anything about the participants background before the end of the show...At that point you probably feel you can relate to some of the different individuals and when you than hear who they are you might be surprised that you related to a person with a completely different background than your own.
We want people to meet without any preconceptions. It will be interessting to see how it will work out!
On top of that everyone is going to learn a lot about sustainability!

Monday 17/4-04

My last day in NYC.
I went to see the office of Ron Pompei. A super cool place and very interesting things they work with at the moment. They have created the branding strategy for urban outfitters amongst others.
I couldn't get in to the donald trump tower so i'll have to send him an application.
I ended the day by having lunch in the park in sunshine with Matt before heading to the airport.

We were close to not getting on the airport bus. At first the driver said it was full and when he finally made some space I got the last seat.
Too much trafik made us arrive the airport with 10 minuttes to go through check in and security check. So we skipped the line... Some other people did that as well but they got bustet and they were asked to go behind the line. We just lied and told him we been there the whole time.
After checking in we rushed to security check. We found a nice crew-member who let us in front of the line and I threw all my belongings in a basket to go through the check. You even have to take your shoes and belt off.
After that we ran now with the belt in my hand and made it for check in. We ended up standing in line and after that the plane took an hour to get of the runway because it was standing in line before it was able to take of...

I got to sit in the middle of a family of mom, granny and three kids (2, 3 years and 6 month) They were making alot of noise so I ended up sitting with them to make them behave... haha... It worked and the mom was so happy. Her husband had a Limo company and she asked me to call her next time I was in NY and she would pick me up in the airport in her limo :o) Sweeeeet.

Sunday 16/4-06

After getting up at 6 I went to the bus station and took the first bus to Atlantic City. NY's gambling city.
Off course i went to hard rock café.
I also went to all the famous casinos. I took a walk on the beach and had my lunch in a calm place in the sun.
In the afternoon I played a game of minigolf. i completed all the holes in two shots..hehe
I even gambled a little and got a 25% return on my investment... Nice!!

It took me five hours to go home from Atlantic city since I was waiting at the casino for busses that never showed up.
Got back an hour late but still got to see two hours of stand up comedy at the comic strip with corinne, matt and tom. After that we had a lovely dinner. We ended the evening by going to matt's roof to look at the perfect view.

Saturday 15/4-06

Corinne and I went to see the broadway show Rent.
It was a really cool play. We had box seats this time with partial view so they were not as good as the those we had when we saw Spamalot... But still it was a fantastic experience.

In the evening I met Isabelle. She is an old friend of mine from my time in LA.
By coincidence I figured out that she was going to be in NY for one day. Her dad is an air france pilot so she got there for free... We had a cool time walking around manhatten, eating and talking.
Brought her back to her hotel (located right next to where I live) at 2am and only had a few hours sleep before I got up again at 6am.

Friday 14/4- on manhatten

Today Corinne and I walked around Manhatten again. We walked about 120 blocks...
We went to Christy's to see their auction house. Corinne wanted to learn more about the NY destination to see if it would be useful for her internship.
We walked through central park and visited Trump tower on the way.

In the evening I went to the Fat baby club with Graham and some of his friends while Matt was at work.

Wed - thurs 12/4 - 13/4-06

Wednesday 12/4-06
After getting up I went to play tennis with Matt, Graham and their friend Jordan... Jordan and I won...hehe
I met corinne at nine and we went to Coyote ugly and got a couple of drinks. It was a lot of fun and the bartender was really drunk..
Like the true coyote she was she carried out the coyote ugly style. She danced on the bar. She was very flirtatious and naughty and she knew exactly how to get people's attention.

Thursday 13/4-06
Today we went up really early and went with the first boat available to liberty island to see the lady with the torch. We had to get there that early because it was limited how many people that had the chance to go inside the statue. After the 9/11 you are not allowed to the top of the statue anymore. The park rangers told me that it was also because 3000 people would walk to the top every day which would create lines up to 5 hours. On top of that they used to remove 150 pounds of gum every month and some people had actually made grafitti inside the statue which was impossible to remove.
After the visit we took the ferry to Elis island- and the immigrant museum.

In the afternoon we went to a very popular icecream shop where you pick your flawor and than mix it with whatever fruit, nut, sauce... etc you want.
In the evening we went to see Monthy Pyton-Spamalot on broadway. It was fabulous. We had house seats so we sat right in front of the stage.
It was Matt's birthday so after spamalot I rushed in a cap, after waiting 45 minuttes to find one.. and joined the party. We had a very nice evening.

Tuesday 11/4-06

Walking around the south of Manhatten the whole day. Ended up by the woman with the torch. Couldn't get to liberty island that day so we'll wait to thursday where we get to touch her...
We had an excellent lunch outside...the sun was shining and I was only in a t-shirt...
We walked around the habour and looked at some of the old ships.

At night I went to the premiere of live free or die. Esther came with me. After the movie they had a Q and A round with the cast and the directors before heading to an after party with free drinks. Esther had to go so I went by my self.

I met lots of cool people and even though I don't drink much it is just impossible for me not to drink when they throw a free party party... ;o)

So after two afterparties in two different really cool clubs I had had enough... and enough drinking as well... so I went to the train station to get a ticket to atlatic city but fortunately the trains didn't run untill 4 hours later so I went home...

NY Friday 7/4-Monday 10/4-06

Friday we went to NY.
We came in at New ark airport at nightime. We took a bus to manhatten and from there I could walk to Matt's place. He lives right in the center so that's very nice for me.

Saturday 8/4
Corinne and I went around Manhatten the whole day in the rain. We went to every single shop to buy shoes and expensive handbags. We didn't buy the shoes on the picture since they were 225dollars...
We ate lunch at hardrock cafe and I got my glass.
For dinner we went to Matt's work, the spotted pig. Here we ate and had drinks. It is such a cool restaurant and we got a table right away even though other people were waiting for a long time.

Sunday 9/4
Today it was our tourist day. We bought a NY-pass which gives you free intrance to all the good tours.
We went inside CNN and NBC to see how they operate. We visited the Radio music hall where the rockets perform. Nice girls with beautiful legs... ;o) .. doing there headhigh kicks. We saw Madison square garden and the NY knicks/the libertines (basket) and the Rangers (hockey) locker rooms. We saw a little bit of the local circus performing in Madison.
Later we went to TGI fridays to eat and to the museum for radio and tv. Than Madame Tussauds where we met Jennifer Lopez, Brad Pitt and lots of other stars.
We ended the day in the NY skyride where you take a virtual trip flying over NY. It was in the impire state building. There was a two hours line to get up to see the view but since we did the skyride we manage to skip about an hour of the line for the view. It was an amazing view.

Monday 10/4
today I hung out with Matt. We walked around the manhatten along the water. And I got to see the area my sister is visiting this summer from a distance.
We had a nice lunch after going to a redicules audition for a VH1 tv commercial. Matt had to jump around like he was at a rock concert but the song they played to help him wasn't "rocky" at all. The guy in charge was being an asshole when I wanted to shake his hand to say thanks for letting me watch he just removed his hand a looked at me in an odd way.
We ended the evening with meeting Corinne who was 20 minuttes late... If you know Corinne you would know that NEVER happens. Corinne, Matt, Matt's brother Tom and sister Marielle an Matt's roomie Graham and I went to the opening of I thai restaurant with free food and drinks.

Wed - Thurs 5/4-6/4-06

Wednesday the 5 april ended with me going to the movies to see basic instict 2 and play a couple of games on my favorit old school game Metal slug 4

Thursday we went to see Estherorkester (Esther and Thomas) perform at a bar in SF. So Nice. They were really awsome. I met a nice guy called Peter. He has made some cool music which I'm trying to get a hold on.

Monday-Wednesday 3/4-06 - 5/4-06

For the last three days we have been working hard on our project.
Our deadline is coming up soon so it is necessary to get everything in order.
We have the concept ready now after having had three exciting days with many challenges.
Today we met with Todd and Chris who are making guerilla tv. chris is working on tv documentaries and Todd is a former reporter for abc.
Talking to them made the pieces fall into places...
The concept:
We have invited a group of workshop participants with great diversity. They don't know each other and they are not suppose to reveal anything about their background. They are invited to a dinner and dialogue around the subject sustainability on three levels. Globally, on a bizz/organization level and on the level as being individuals. They will produce a digital outcome people who is watching later on can relate to. In the end you'll get to know the participants background and it might turn out that you related to someone who you would have disliked if you would have known their actual background story.

Roadtrip + chill out sunday 1/4-06-2/4-06

Our roadtrip went up through Napa valley visiting the wine destricts and ended up in sacramento "the ghost" town before going back.
Jorg, Julie Corinne and I hired a car and had a super nice day.
Lots of nature, italian inspired wineries, a "hugging" cat, the best all american lunch ever with thick milkeshake and gatecrashing a 2500 dollar a ticket black tie party for rich people....
Here are some nice pictures from the trip.
Sacramento was completely dead on a saturday night except from two places where we found the whole town waiting in line outsite.

Does anyone know what this sign means?? Please tell me!
